THE MEETING between poles and people and the very ENERGY that arises—also known as INSPIRATION—is my greatest fascination! This magnetic and insistent movement is LIFE itself!
Poetry is a driving force within me and a way of staying connected to the language of the heart.
That very language spoken to us by the great myths and stories, our dreams, and everything we call art.
The creative Impuls is like a winged force rising within my body, serving as my anchor, my muse, and my guide—both in art and in my life as a whole. Symbols and archetypes are foundational elements in everything I AM—and do!
I strengthen my daily grounding through meditation, dance, voice, qi gong, and through rituals that can release the inherent creative power. I am nourished by Christian, Buddhist, Shamanic, and newer spiritual texts, prayer, and practice.
The power of the voice is closely linked to the dancer / eros within me. Body and voice exist in an eQUAL play, bringing life to the words in my realms of writing. This trinity is my zen and my sanctuary.
Right between heart and body, voice and spirit/breath, dance and poetry—and deep inside this little human—lies a great love for the silence within NATURalness. And in the midst of that stillness, this poem arose in my heart, once upon a time, which I wish to share with you, who are reading along here:
Once upon a time there was a woman
Who could not find
Her soul
She searched deeply
And long
Got wounds and a single gash
In her chest
The wound would not heal
And she could not share
Her grief
The grief spread through her body
All the way to the top
Of her head
The head said: STOP!
Breathe
And FEEL your body!
And through the body, she found her voice
And through the voice, she found her soul
And that was exactly what she wanted to find
This little woman!
